MOLLENHAUER DANCE STUDIO is an in-home studio dedicated to giving students ethnic dance classes and classical exercise experiences. From MDS, Jennifer Mollenhauer also teaches and performs at locations around the Dayton, Springfield, and Middletown areas.

What's happening at the studio...

BELLY DANCE

Jennifer Mollenhauer (stage name Sophia) is a belly dance performer and instructor. She offers belly dance classes at her Beavercreek studio, Wright Patterson AFB, and Springfield Ohio ('click-on' Classes page above). Additionally, Sophia can be hired to teach a belly dance class at your location (work, party, etc). She is also available for belly grams upon request. THE SHIMMY CATS

The Shimmy Cats is a Middle Eastern belly dance troupe directed by Jennifer Mollenhauer / Sophia. They rehearse at Mollenhauer Dance Studio and perform annually at local festivals and events. For more information and their performance schedule 'click-on' the Shimmy Cats page above.

STRETCH & EXERCISE

Set to classical music - Jennifer teaches a whole body workout designed to strengthen and tone muscles while increasing flexibility. Dancers & non-dancers / male & female can benefit from this class. During class, there will be floor & standing exercises.

JEWISH DANCE

Jennifer is a dance instructor at Temple Israel in Dayton Ohio, where she created Temple Israel's religious school dance program. Additionally, she was a guest lecturer of Yemenite Jewish dance for Sinclair Community College's Middle Eastern dance program.

Jennifer will be glad to bring Jewish dance, including Israeli folk dance, to your Jewish or non-Jewish community event (Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding hora, church social, etc). Jewish dance is for both adults and children. Hire Jennifer by email at sophia@shimmycats.com.
